As a Girl Scout in the early ’90s, I sold more than 5,000 boxes of cookies for my troop over a three-year period. I went door-to-door with order forms, took pre-orders from my parents’ co-workers and delivered each box via wagon and cart to my customers. My efforts netted me a week at an overnight resident camp each year, in addition to US savings bonds and small trinkets with Girl Scout logos and new patches for my sash.
In 2021, I’m upping my cookie game and making recipes with my favorite styles of Girl Scout cookies to share with all of my followers.
8 Caramel DeLites or Samoa Girl Scout Cookies
1 package refrigerated crescent rolls (or puff pastry dough sheet)
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Spread out crescent dough onto a work surface.
Using your fingers, press down and pinch each perforated line so it forms one big sheet of dough.
Cut the dough into eighths.
Place a cookie in the center of each of the dough squares and roll each corner up over the top of each cookie.
Bunch up the rest of the crescent roll to make sure it covers the entire cookie. Do not stretch the dough too thin or it will break.
Preheat air fryer to 375° F for about 2-3 minutes, if your model requires it.
Gently place the Air Fryer Caramel DeLites inside the air fryer in one even layer so they do not touch. If you have a small air fryer, cook in batches. Spray the tops of each parcel with non-stick spray.
Cook cookies on 375° F for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown on all sides.
Carefully remove the Air Fryer Caramel DeLites from the air fryer and immediately dust them with powdered sugar, if desired.
Let cool for two minutes, then enjoy.
